Tax Relief for California Wildfire Victims

There is a little bit of good new from the IRS for those poor families who lost homes or were displaced by the fires in California. Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Santa Barbara counties have been declared federal disaster areas by the federal government and therefore automatically qualify for individual assistance. The IRS will be postponing tax payments, return filing, and other such acts due within the November 13th, 2008 to February 11, 2009 period, for anyone with a place of business or a residence in the aforementioned counties, until that final day of February 11, 2009. Those...
